Getting to Nozawa.
Nozawa is amazingly easy to access:
The fastest way to get to Nozawa is via the Hokuriku shinkansen to Iiyama station. From there the Nozawa onsen liner bus service gets you up the the village in 25minutes. All for less than 10,000yen per adult.
If you prefer not to carry luggage through train stations then the Nagano snow shuttle may be for you:

If coming by car: The highway network in Japan is extensive and efficient. Getting from all major centres to Nozawa Onsen is easy. The Toyota-iiyama interchange is the closest access point to Nozawa from the Joshin-etsu expressway. Cancellation policy and general booking information.
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of 20% non-refundable deposit. Balance payment becomes due 30days before check in. Cancellations are possible up until 30days prior to the first day of the stay. Cancellations inside 30days or no-shows incur a 100% cancellation fee.
